fundraiser, Casino Nite.
The event will be held again in October 2007.
Benefits from this fundraiser
go to Kent's own Pediatric Interim Care Center,
a unique facility devoted to caring for newborns
affected by drugs and alcohol, and to other
Kiwanis Youth Programs.

West Seattle, WA
The Adaptive Sports Jamboree of Washington is a free
event held at Chief Sealth High
School/Southwest Community Center &
Pool, 2600 SW Thistle in West Seattle, from
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. An annual event, it is
sponsored by the Seattle Parks and Recreation
and the Meridian-Kent Kiwanis Club. This is a
hands on introduction/opportunity to learn more
about adaptive sports equipment, and features
sports clinics/workshops in wheelchair
basketball, tennis, track, amputee soccer,
amputee golf, hand cycling martial arts and
swimming.
