Meridian ~ Kent Kiwanis Club is proud to be the Charter Representative for Boy Scout Troop 406 for over 30 years. The troop is an active participant of the Kent area with help for the homeless, park clean ups and lending a hand in Eagle projects with fellow scouts. The troop is always available to support our annual adaptive sports events by preforming the opening flag ceremonies for our wheelchair basketball tournaments.
About the Troop
They meet weekly on Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 at Scenic Hill Elementary gym. They typically have at least one outing per month. These outings can vary from doing the Klondike Derby in the winter to attending Camp Parsons for a week in the summer. The scouts go on hikes, bike rides, snowshoeing trips, cave exploring, and lots of overnight campouts. There is an annual Scavenger Hunt that takes them all around the City of Kent for a day. Troop 406 is always looking for new recruits who are interested in pursuing the Scouting spirit and endeavoring to further themselves in life. Maybe you will be our next new member-- they would love to have you come visit us!
